It is well known that many women like shoes. And I must admit, that while I cannot rival the likes of Imelda Marcos, I do have more shoes in my closet than hubby does.
But my real weakness is bags.
Purses. Totes. Knapsacks. Suitcases.
Quilted bags, leather bags, big bags, small bags (a personal favorite), blue bags, pink bags, brown bags, black bags (well, not so much black- except I love my little black Martini bag with the dragonfly on it!)…
Bags to store your toiletries or other goodies in …
or a bag to store camera accessories and the bag with the camera…
What about your computer cord? Doesn’t it deserve it’s own bag?
Which leads me to my dilemma. My Eight Star Tote bag.
I LOVE this bag. Love the size. Love the colors.
We created the pattern for this bag many years ago and I have had various versions. This one has been my faithful partner for many years- we go to quilt stores together all the time. And she gets compliments wherever she goes. But she is falling apart. Literally. I expect that one day, I will sling her over my shoulder and she will snap and fall to the ground.
So, what do I do? Do I give her new handles? Do I thank her for a nice time together and make a new one?
What would you do?
