Pattern Updates

I make every effort to proofread, test, check and double check my patterns before publishing. However, in spite of my best efforts, sometimes an Oops! slips by me. Browse here to see if there are any corrections listed for the pattern you are making.

And please, if you notice any errors, contact me at kate@katecollerandesigns.com so I can correct future patterns!

I greatly appreciate your input.

Carry This – in the last booklet printing, a cut piece of Fabric C was missing: a 6 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ rectangle for the outside pocket lining.  Fabric C cutting should read:

1 strip 10 1/2″ s WOF – sub cut into:
  1 rectangle 7 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ for the outside pocket lining
  2 rectangles 6 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ for outside pocket linings
  1 rectangle 6 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ for outside pocket lining

This error was fixed in patterns printed after 6/2/2023.

Spiral Galaxy – some booklet patterns list Fabric F needing 1 ⅜ yards- you only need ¾ yard.

Toss ‘n Take – Page 3, the table for the fusible fleece is missing the notation to cut for fabric D. Cut the 1 larger piece also from Fabric D – the bag lining (inside of bag). (Corrected on patterns shipped after 4/22/22)

Crosscut – one customer noted that the template page in Crosscut was the wrong size.  Our pattern files are correct, but maybe a small number of patterns got out with the wrong template page attached.  The braid piece should measure 2 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. If your pattern has the wrong size, contact us.

Quiet Mornings – The Quiet Mornings pattern was developed before the fabric came out in person. After the pattern was published, it was brought to my attention that the direction of the design on the brown bark fabric runs counter to what I was told.
If a shop is making kits of the small wall quilt with the panel, you may want to cut the brown bark fabric at a little over 1 ¼ yards and then cut into 2-3 kits. They need 12” x 40 ½”  to then cut into 4 strips, so if the fabric is 42” wide, you could get 3 kits from one length. Or 2 kits with lots of wiggle room! Otherwise that is a lot of extra fabric and you may want to just cut the ½ yard. This does not affect the larger quilt as the fabric is cut up into smaller pieces.

A Road Trip Quilt – On page 2 of the Setting (Final Frontier), section 1 step 1 should say “Section 1 should measure 6 1/2″ x 15″ ,” not 6 1/2″ x 15 1/2″. Corrected on patterns shipped after 4/10/2020.

Forest Nights – In Block 4 “Pieced Trees” there was an error in the Trunk row.  The Fabric B 4 1/2″ rectangles should have been 4″.  To correct this, simply cut 1/2″ off each end of the strip so the Trunk row measures 16 1/2″ long.  For cutting directions, it should say Fabric B – 6 rectangles 4″ x 1 1/2″ instead of 4 1/2″ x 1 1/2″.  (Corrected on patterns printed after 9/11/2019).
