As many of you have seen and heard, this has been a tough week and weekend here in Colorado. Many of the pictures of the devastation that rain and flooding have created seem almost unreal.
I wanted to share some different pictures; my son Scott came to visit us this weekend. It is his first time out here in Colorado. And while many of our plans were washed away, we were able to see a little of the beauty Colorado has to offer.
Yesterday we went up to Golden to see the cute downtown and then my husband and Scott went up Lookout Mountain to see the view.
(I got to wander into the quilt store and the Quilt Museum while they did that- woo hoo!)
Then we wandered to Red Rocks to show Scott the amphitheater – it started to rain while we were there, but not heavy, so we were able to walk up and see the view from the seating area. You can even see a little blue sky!
It is a great place.
Not sure what we will do today, as another cloudy, rainy day is forecasted, but we are with our son. So it will be a good day.
Happy quilting,
Kate
It was rainbow land up in Winter Park and my Seams Like a Dream quilt Jelly Roll Jumble is coming along quite beautifully,
