Adventure Quilt- Week 12 is here!

Hi friends!

I can’t believe it is already week 12!

It’s hard to believe we are here, ready for the Final Frontier! It seems not that long ago, we were just starting out, had a pile of Fat Quarters, some background fabric and we were just starting on our adventure.

And now, this week we are going to put our blocks together! The PDF is over on Tammy’s blog this week so you can go ahead and click here now if you want. Or you can read my post and I have another link to her blog at the end!

Note: on her blog will also be the signup for our last giveaway! You won’t want to miss that!

As you have probably noticed, this quilt is not build in rows. Our blocks are all different sizes and even blocks that are the same size are not always next to each other. It really is a jigsaw puzzle.

Sometimes when we go on a trip, we have to take a roundabout route!

So how does this all go together? First we build our quilt in sections. And then we put the sections together. The real trick to doing this are a bunch of partial seams.

Partial Seams???

Have you done partial seams before? If not, don’t worry, they are not hard. They just sound like they might be scary! Tammy has put together a super handout with a block you can practice on if you are nervous about partial seams. Once you do that, they are easy peasy!

Now I am not saying putting this quilt together is easy peasy. It will take a little time. Just follow each step, make it section by section and pretty soon, you will have your adventure quilt done!

And we can’t wait to see them all done!

Click here to go to Tammy’s blog to get the block and here to get her handout on partial seams and read her post where she will give you tips. She is even going to do a Facebook Live this week and show you how to do them!

And we have a giveaway over on Tammy’s blog as well. The Warm company is giving away 2 bags of batting! Wow!

I love their batting.  I have used many different battings over the years, but my new favorite is their Warm 100. Love, love, love this batting. Soft cotton that drapes nicely.

Thank you all so much for following along on our Road Trip! We are so happy you decided to go on this adventure with us.

Next week, we will not be posting, or just maybe checking in to see how things are going.  BUT be sure to check back here in 2 weeks when we will have a bonus for you- a small project to use up the ends of all those green strips leftover from the Treeline blocks!

Remember, if you have missed any of the blocks, you only have until Wednesday May 15th to get them! After that, all single block PDF patterns will go away and the Road Trip Quilt pattern will only be available as a full paper pattern.

And for any International followers, the block PDFs are available for purchase over in my ETSY shop- click here.

happy quilting!

Kate

P.S. After we send out the email to let you know the bonus pattern is available, the Adventure Quilt email list will be going away. SO, if you still want to get emails from either me or Tammy, be sure to sign up for our regular newsletters. We hope you will come back and visit us on our blogs, on our Facebook pages and that you follow us on Instagram and Pinterest, if you frequent those sites! Please stay in touch!
