Elementz Blog Hop

Hi friends!

Today is my day on the Elementz blog hop.

Elementz is a really fun, bright, bold batik line by my friend Tammy Silvers for Island Batik.

I decided to make a small project using the line- though I know the strip pack would look amazing in my pattern Jelly Roll Jumble. Or  Lighthouse Steps.

But for this hop, I designed a notebook cover using my Mini Braid Template and Elementz.

I chose this great block print for the main fabrics, this dark blue for the contrast and a collection of prints for the braid.

It was fun and easy to make.

  1. The design and fabric choices are wonderful. Makes for a cheerful notebook. I would probably make it for a journal cover.

  2. What a perfect project to use the Elementz fabrics and to bring life to a journal notebook! I’d love to make one for myself!

  3. Great idea! Making notes would be so much easier and more fun with such a lovely book cover!
Thanks for sharing your idea and offering the pattern and template giveaway.

  4. Great project. I am forever losing my project notes, and need a notebook to collect them. Love your fabric choices.

  5. I love making covered books. Such a delightful gift to share and a way to experiment with fabrics on hand.

  6. Awesome fabric and pattern. My first thought is to make and send them to our deployed Lady Warriors to use as their personal journals while they are so far from family and friends. Thank you!
